ASTi Hand-Held Terminal (HHT) Units
Radio Hand-Held Terminal
Used in conjunction with ASTi's simulated radio and communications environment, the Radio Hand-Held Terminal (HHTr) allows the use of DIS radios where there is no host simulator control panel for the radio operator.
ASTi's Radio Environment allows up to eight operators to access a maximum of 16 separate radios. The Hand Held Terminal unit provides each operator full access to each radio, and the display makes it easy to monitor radio activity and status. Embedded functionality allows operators to set individual radio settings such as volume, sidetone and secure-mode operation; it also provides Press-to-Talk capability for non-VOX radios.
The Radio Hand Held Terminal provides all the functionality of a fully simulated radio control panel through straight forward commands and hot-key shortcuts at a fraction of the cost.
The HHTr Operator Interface User Guide also shows the mission controller how to modify and customize the HHT's functions via succinct configuration file commands.
Intercom Hand-Held Terminal
When configuring ASTi's highly flexible, distributed, local and network intercom systems, the Intercom Hand Held Terminal (HHTi) provides an operator interface to the network intercom buses. The HHTi is generally part of a preconfigured intercom system providing a customer-specified number of operators and communications buses.
The Intercom Hand-Held Terminal and Intercom System User Guide shows the mission controller how to modify and customize the HHT's functions via succinct configuration file commands.
