PTT and radio panel "switchology" is transferred from the operator stations and mode indications and cipher information is transferred back to the operator positions via the host interface network (blue). Audio between the operators and the real radios of the external comms environment are transferred via the voice network (green).

In the external comms environment, settings and adjustments made at the operator stations are translated to control real radio tranceivers complete with audio encryption. Up to 8 real radio transceivers can be controlled by the operators via their simulated radio panel interfaces.
