As an Application Engineer at ASTi you will be exposed to and work with a wide range of technologies such as:
- VoIP
- DSP/Signal Processing
- Networks and Network Communications
- Radio and Communications equipment simulation and modeling
- Sound modeling and simulation

- Real Time software and simulation
- Digital and Analog Audio

You will also play a key role in the operation and success of our company with a wide range of tasks and responsibilities including:
Product Design, Development and Testing
- Identify and contribute to the design and development of new products and product enhancements.
- Specify, test, and improve on company products and software.
- Develop radio communications and sound simulation models for military and commercial training devices (e.g. F16, AWACS, AH-64D, 737, etc.).
- Develop and support communications and sound modeling tools, libraries, and software.
- Create network wide, real time voice and communications simulation solutions.
Application Engineering and Project Management
- Assist customers with analyzing/defining their application and problem domains then engineer solutions to meet their requirements.
- Work with real-world military and commercial communications equipment data to produce communications simulation and sound models.
- Identify and develop product enhancements as well as new products to meet customer needs.
- Lead and manage customer programs in a Project Engineer capacity.
- Work closely with production group to define, produce, assemble and test customer solutions.
- Provide solution installation, integration, and general product technical support.
- Occasionally travel to military and commercial training sites to assist customers with product installation, integration and testing.
Technical Sales and Marketing
- Prepare technical and price proposals
- Form customer relationships and develop business opportunities
- Identify new requirements and opportunities for product enhancement and growth
Training
- Conduct technical training courses on product software and equipment
- Visit customers and provide formal and informal product training and assistance
