Sound Model Development Toolkit

The heart of the ASTi Digital Audio Communication System (DACS) is the Model Builder sound model development toolkit. This software application transforms the DACS into a comprehensive development workstation for the creation, extension and tuning of sophisticated audio simulation models.

The ASTi Model Builder toolkit provides a simple "database-like" interface to sound model generation. Model configuration, interface, and parameters can be changed quickly and easily in real time. No DSP Assembler or high level language software knowledge is required to create or modify the model.

Software is enabled through a "credit" system. The following paragraphs describe collections of objects which give the functionality described. Customers have access to all of these objects. Each object uses a certain number of model credits (some use no credits), which are deducted from the total number of credits installed in the system. Objects no longer work when the credit limit is exceeded. In this way, the customer has access to all of the functionality of the DACS system, but only pays for the amount of functionality needed.
