July 20, 2005 – Rockwell Collins of Sterling, VA has contracted ASTi to provide one Digital Audio Communication System (DACS) for the E-2T Taiwan Tactics Trainer. This program follows the E-2C Hawkeye Weapons System Trainer and E-2C Simulated Maintenance Trainer as the third Telestra Model Builder Visual (MBV) system delivered to Rockwell Collins for an E-2 project.

The ASTi solution for the E-2T comprises the Telestra platform, USB audio distribution hardware, custom audio cables and an all-encompassing software model. This system consists of three trainee positions, five instructor operator stations, and three trainee instructors. The software model simulates the full suite of E-2T radios, including data link tones, and a corresponding set of radios for the instructor operator stations. The system also includes several intercom channels that replicate the E-2T aircraft intercom system and support private instructor and instructor-to-trainee communication. The software model also provides record and debrief capability.

Following delivery, ASTi will provide follow-on engineering support to ensure successful test and integration.
