In an ever-changing world where the threats are both internal and external, security has come to the forefront of all hardware platforms and software applications. Driven by the Department of Defense Directive (DODD) 8500.2, trainers and equipment are now required to follow a strict sets of rules handed down from DISA, NSA and alike. As such ASTi has taken the initiative to ensure that its suite of products will adhere to the rigid security requirements forced upon today's trainers.

The National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) has created a Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme (CCEVS). Products on this list have been evaluated and accredited at licensed/approved evaluation facilities in the U.S. for conformance to the Common Criteria for IT Security Evaluation (ISO Standard 15408). The Telestra 4 product suite is built around Red Hat Enterprise Linux, providing a communication solution that runs on a fully NIAP validated operating system.

ASTi can also provide a security package that configures the Telestra 4 platform in a manor such that all critical and major security risks identified by the DISA UNIX STIGs/SRRs are eliminated. This ensures that our Telestra 4 product is not only the latest technology in terms of audio and communication simulation, but that security is also at the forefront of our product suite.
