The ASTi VoIP solution is a natural extension to the span of existing ASTi products. The ASTi Voisus product is a low cost stand-alone communications solution for Red Hat Enterprise 5 workstations, with low system overhead, and simple operator set-up and operation. Voisus is built around a core based on the ASTi "VoIP Light" protocol, a simple, robust design, much more secure than most open source implementations. With the ASTi "VoIP Light" protocol, Voisus implements simple auto-discovery of all network communications channels, and an intuitive, low-footprint, GUI control. The control panel is deliberately as small as possible to minimize intrusion on the user desktop.

Voisus (pronounced 'Voice-us') provides effective voice communications for single workstation installations. Up to 10 conference nets are provided over VoIP links, with novel auto-discovery of in-use channels across the network. Up to 10 individual nets may be monitored, the user may click on the net they want to transmit on. Voisus is able to provide DIS and HLA interoperability with any combination of the 10 Voisus assets operating as network radios and/or VoIP nets.
