Digital Input Module/Card Configurations
There are two available configurations of Digital Input Module/Card indicated
by the Module/Card part number:

Consult the system configuration drawing provided with your DACS to determine
the part number of your Digital Input Module/Card.
Interface Requirements
Type I
Type I configurations require an external pull up resistor as shown in
the first diagram below. No external input voltage is applied to pins 17,
18, 36, and 37.
There are 16 DI channels available. Interface is via a standard female
37 way "D" connector. The diagram below shows general hook up
for a single DI channel. Pin out information is included at the end of this
application note. See also your Digital Input drawing included with your
DACS.
Type II
The most common configuration is type II. There are 16 DI channels available.
Interface is via a standard female 37 way "D" connector. The diagrams
below show general hook up for a single DI channel. The external input voltage
is applied to pins 17, 18, 36, and 37. Each of these external voltage pins
supplies wetting voltage to one nibble (4 DI channels). Pin out information
is included at the end of this application note. See also your Digital Input
drawing included with your DACS.
The diagrams below show typical connections depending on whether wetting
voltage supply is located near the DACS or near the switch(es) monitored.
Interface to the module or card is via a female 37way "D" connector.
