ASTi Application Note 71: MBV Radio Monitor Application

The Basics

Radio Monitor can be broken down into two different layers of operation. The top level displays the main status and settings for the various Telestra servers. The pages at this level contain relevant PDU counters, status flags, and settings such as the server IP and port number. The lower level represents a subset of pages for the server, such as a list of network transmitters for the Radio Environment Server. This document will focus on using the pages that are tied to the Radio Environment Server.

Lower-level pages for the Radio Environment:
  • Server Ping Utility ('p' key) - Pings for other Radio Environments on the network
  • Network Transmitters ('n' key) - Displays a list of all active transmitters on the network
  • Local Transmitters ('t' key) - Displays a list of the transmitters that are local to the Telestra
  • Local Receivers ('r' key) - Displays a list of the receivers that are local to the Telestra
  • Radio Server Log ('l' key) - Returns the log file created by the server
  • HLA Status ('a' key) - Allows the user to join/resign from a federation and view HLA counters
