The DIS Exercise (or HLA Federation) field in the World Position and Entity Attach objects has a Control Object connection point for Exercise number. Insert a Control object (most likely Input Integer) into this connection point. The host computer may now dynamically change the exercise number used.

When using the Radio HHT or SINCGARS dlls on the DACS the DIS exercise number may be changed in the initialization (.ini) file. When using the .ini file to change the exercise number the switching of DIS exercises in not done dynamically though since the .ini file is only read upon start-up of Model Builder. In order to re-read the file a restart of Model Builder is required which will load the updated or new initialization file.

Note: When changing DIS exercises the radio will instantly appear in the new exercise. However, an artifact of the radio will remain in the original DIS exercise until the DIS timeout period has expired (default is 5 seconds), at which time it will disappear.
