Yes - our radio objects include background noise effects as a function of range/received signal power. The noise characteristic is modified based on the current active frequency and modulation type. These noise effects may be turned off if not required, or an alternate noise signal (perhaps using a sampled recording from real equipment) may be substituted for the internal noise source.
