A DACS using a standard IDE hard drive can be expected to record up to 4 independent simultaneous streams to disk while running a normal communications simulation model. If more than 4 record streams are required then you should consider the ASTi Record Box platform. This is a dedicated platform optimized to handle the recording of up to 24 channels, and can include a DAT tape drive to allow convenient archiving of recordings.
