How can I check a particular package's changelog to see if a patch is installed?

Run the following command "rpm -q --changelog <packagename>". This will give you the complete changelog for a package. For example, to check Kerberos on a Telestra 4 platform with 4.18 software version running RHEL 5.3 you can run "rpm -q --changelog krb5-libs-1.6.1-31.el5".
