The theoretical limit is a function of network bandwidth and CPU power. Currently, running on a Gigabit network backbone, we can support a few hundred ACENet devices and Targets (approximately 300). In practice, we doubt anyone would want to create such a monster configuration, and architectures with 10-20-30+ end-point devices would seem reasonable.
