Comm Builder Icon ASTi Comm Builder is a powerful software tool, which provides users with the ability to generate and distribute complete simulated communications environment parameters to multiple Telestra servers from remote, networked locations. Comm Builder software is hosted on a customer-furnished Windows XP PC and features the ability to easily set:
  • Top-level Telestra and network parameters
  • DIS parameters
  • Simulated radio and intercom presets
  • Operator access to radios and intercoms
Comm Builder eases the task of presetting ASTi simulated communications systems, by providing an automated method for users to pre-configure: exercise level, platform-level and radio-operator level parameters for ASTi communications systems.
  • ASTi designed Comm Builder to be integrated with pre-configured Telestra communications software models. Telestra models are available in configurations supporting as many as 32 operators and 32 simulated radios on each Telestra server.
  • Comm Builder can be used to configure individual Telestra nodes or massive simulated communications environments, involving multiple, networked Telestras.
  • Comm Builder speeds up the configuration process by making use of modular libraries. The libraries are used to store radio environment information in intuitive groups, such as: Radio Types, Fillsets, Nets, Crypto Sets, Frequency Hop Sets, Entities and World Positions.
  • Configurations are stored, making it easy to restore settings to individual Telestras or a whole network of Telestras. Configurations can also be changed on-the-fly during runtime, allowing you to change operator and radio settings by restarting Telestras.
The application also generates a communications report summarizing:
  • System settings (site and node descriptions, network addresses, DIS settings)
  • Radios and Operator settings
  • Administrative site information
