The open-source GLAM project ( glam.sourceforge.net) is the culmination of years of research in user interface design for highly dynamic visual displays. GLAM and its associated libraries are a product of a joint research venture between ASTi and xRhino, primarily funded by ASTi. The visualization project has proven to be a success, and has been incorporated into ASTi's latest Linux-based line of Telestra products for digital audio communications.
When the principals of xRhino went on to found Digital Bazaar, a company dedicated to the promotion and distribution of digital media, ASTi acquired xRhino in full. We have released GLAM under a dual QPL/GPL license with the option of a proprietary license for commercial systems. ASTi will become the active maintainer of the project and will continue to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in our stewardship of this ground-breaking open-source project.
