New UAS & TOCNET Interfaces Provide Even More Flexibility

I/ITSEC 2014 | What's New

You keep talking; we keep listening. Due to customer demand, ASTi expanded its offering of Voisus® radio and operator interfaces this year.

On the hardware side, we crafted a realistic version of the CSC/JPTT communication panel widely used by unmanned aircraft system (UAS) operators, complete with all the knobs and switches of the real panels. It was even judged by an experienced UAS pilot to accurately recreate real-world panel behavior. This and our simulated Tactical Operations Center InterCommunication System (TOCNET) desktop Crew Access Unit (CAU) comprise our latest hardware offerings.

In the more ethereal realm called "software," we recently developed a combination desktop/touchscreen app featuring a number of never-before-seen Voisus client capabilities. It combines the simulation network with real-world military & land-mobile radios, intercoms, mobile and publicly switched telephones, conferencing, SIP/VoIP, and text chat into a single application featuring one-touch, simultaneous transmission over multiple assets, patching live radios, and more. This flex-client joins our long list of operator workstation interfaces, and can be fully customized based on customer requirements.

We also offer operational software "radio skins" for the following MIL radios: AN/PRC-117F, AN/PRC-117G, AN/PRC-150(C), AN/PRC-119 SINCGARS ASIP, AN/PRC-148 and AN/PRC-152. And our open APIs allow you to design your own application or interface.
