Native, High Level Architecture Radio Simulation & Communications

ASTi's Telestra HLA software package adds native High Level Architecture (HLA) capabilities to ASTi's complete radio simulation and communications environment. HLA capabilities are provided natively with ASTi's Telestra based Model Builder Visual environment or can be configured to support our widely used DACS audio processing platform. In either configuration, full HLA compliance is provided without sacrificing ASTi's full range of high fidelity, network based radio and communications simulation capabilities.
Unlike many other HLA solutions, ASTi's Telestra HLA implementation was developed from the ground up to fully exploit the flexibility and interoperability envisioned under DMSO's High Level Architecture standard. Multiple RTI support, established and published Radio SOM, agile FOM capabilities, back-channel communications options, and debug tools offer users a well supported HLA environment. In addition, ASTi's Telestra platform takes advantage of high performance, industrial, off-the-shelf technology to provide increased HLA performance and reliability at a reasonable cost.
The HLA software is highly flexible with capabilities to support HLA operation for radio and communications models:
  • Running locally in the Telestra MBV (Model Builder Visual) environment
  • Over the network on other networked Telestra platforms
  • Over the network on ASTi's popular DACS platforms
Users can deploy a dedicated Telestra unit with HLA software for each trainer, or use the Telestra platform as an HLA server to a suite of training equipment.

In addition, users with existing ASTi DACS systems looking to move easily from DIS to HLA can deploy a single Telestra platform as a server for up to four DACS units.
