Frasca CJ1+ FFS with Telestra Receives Level D Approval

September 19, 2014

A Frasca CJ1+ FFS using an ASTi Telestra system, providing all environmental sound and communications audio, recently received Level D approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). The Level D FFS was delivered, installed and qualified, meeting all technical requirements and schedule milestones.

Smaller aircraft, such as the Cessna CJ1+ business jet, present some of the more challenging sound environments for modeling due to the smaller aircraft structure. This results in all sound sources being much closer to the crew and, correspondingly, require a more complex sound model to ensure all representative sounds are heard by the crew and contribute appropriately to the 1/3rd octave SPL plots required for presentation to the certification authorities.
