Advanced Simulation Technology inc. (ASTi) is pleased to announce Paris Flight Training as its latest Simulated Environment for Realistic ATC (SERA) customer. Initially, Entrol will integrate four SERA instances with their En-1000x simulators, creating some of the most advanced flight training devices (FTDs) in their class. Entrol finished integrating SERA with their simulator architecture in December 2021.
Paris Flight Training, one of the most progressive flight training providers in the world, plans to add additional FTDs equipped with SERA over the next year. Stay tuned over the coming months for more announcements.
SERA, ASTi’s leading simulated air traffic control environment (SATCE) system, fully complies with the latest industry requirements for SATCE solutions. These requirements include the “Manual of Criteria for the Qualification of Flight Simulation Training Devices” (ICAO Doc. 9625, Ed. 4) and the updated ARINC Specification 439b.
SERA eliminates the need for an instructor to role-play air traffic control (ATC), ensuring consistent phraseology for ATC and all other traffic radio calls. Radio transmissions from other traffic always use regionally correct phraseology, which makes them particularly effective for training reinforcement. Another significant advantage of SERA is 24/7, always-on availability, enabling maximum use of training assets.
